New Year's Day, Adding Paint to Skaters on Ice, Aliens at Tsusiat Falls

Next Outdoor Painting, January 1, 2025.
2019, Skaters on Ice and Aliens at Tsusiat Falls.

"Have Faith, Be Brave, and Do Good" will be my motto, prayer, and New Year's resolution as I enter 2025 at the age of 70. I'll embark on a new season of painting, eager to explore and uncover more about myself and the world around me. With dedication and commitment to my passions in the arts, family, and community, I will continue to invite others to join me in painting and breathe new life and new chapters into newer and older works. My 2025 outdoor painting season begins with the spring solstice in March and will complete on the last Sunday of September. During the winter months, I'll continue doing outdoor art shows and move my painting indoors, inside the safe and friendly City Hall and QEII building in Violet King Henry Plaza at the Alberta Legislature. I'll keep taking doodle notes, producing political cartoons on social media, and staying engaged with current events. Practicing freedom of the press inside City Hall and the Alberta Legislature, I will LISTEN, and learn from those who rally and protest outside, while actively participating in our democracy, just as I have my adult life.

2017-2024, Not A Bystander Art Project.

2024-12-21, Happy Solstice Day! It's a thrill for me that my dear friend Manwar Khan has accepted my gift of art, a community painting from my 2017 Not a Bystander Art Project addressing Anger, Violence, and Hockey Fan Bullying "Jodie Smiles" Formerly She Smiles After All That..." Renamed Jodie after the longest unsolved murder of Joanne Ghostkeeper was solved by DNA by the Edmonton Police Service in 2023. I personally thanked Chief Dale McFee at the Police Commission for solving my friend's murder. #MMIWG
